510 North Driver Street- Thomas W. Wilkinson House

This 1 and 1/2 story side-gable bungalow with a large front gabled dormer and Craftsman porch with original railing was built by Thomas W. Wilkinson. Wilkinson built many homes in the neighborhood.

Built in 1972 for the Union Insurance and Realty Company, which had its origins at 814 Fayetteville Street (in Hayti.) This is a 2-story hip-roofed house with asbestos siding, 2-over-2 original sash windows, and a full Craftsman porch sheltering 2 front doors. The home was owner by Cornelius Wombley, who worked as a cooper.

Pyramidal cottage with 2 interior chimneys, German siding, 1-over-1 sash windows, a front cross-gable, and a hipped porch. Home to Edward Copley and his wife Lucy King Copley, then, for many years, the Bowling family.

Zion Union Church, May 1965. The Zion Union Church was an African-American congregation church located at the corner of Peachtree Place and North Elizabeth Street; it appears to have been, um, disassembled by 1965. The land was taken by the Urban Renewal project in 1970 and, if there was any structure left at that point, it was removed.
