One-story hipped and front-gable duplex with German siding, 6-over-1 sash windows, and 2 front doors sheltered by a full hipped porch with boxed posts. Fire damage in 2012.

The Barbee Cemetery contains 20 graves of members of the Gray Barbee family, including Gray Barbee himself. Gray owned much of the surrounding land before East Durham was developed. The cemetery sits in an abandoned overgrown lot on Salem St.

The Kurt W. and Mary Louise Back house was built in 1962 by architect Arthur Ralph Cogswell Jr.
