OpenDurham.org is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of our community. Run by our parent nonprofit, Preservation Durham, the site requires routine maintenance and upgrades. Barbee Cemetery

The Barbee Cemetery contains 20 graves of members of the Gray Barbee family, including Gray Barbee himself. Gray owned much of the surrounding land before East Durham was developed. The cemetery sits in an abandoned overgrown lot on Salem St.
