Built between 1920 and 1923, the small grocery at the corner of Ottawa Ave. (then Forest Street) and Gurley Street was initially the WH Perry and Co. W Henry Perry lived at 502 Elizabeth Street in 1923.

William Reldew Dick built this house across the street from his grocery store in 1927. In 1941, he moved his grocery store into an addition he built on the north side of the house. Sometime between 1980 and 1994, the store addition was demolished.
