Dr. Joseph Ira & Martha W Coleman House

Craftsman style house with hip roof with wide eaves, two interior chimneys, and a hip dormer. House has paired German siding, asbestos siding, 9-over-I sash windows, and a French front door with sidelights. The full hipped porch with Craftsman posts had its comer bays infilled with rooms when converted to multi-family use. 1925 CD: S.D. Coleman, A. W. Porterfield occupants. 

Dr. Joseph Ira Coleman lived there from 1924-1930, when he died. Martha lived there in a single-family home until 1942, when she moved to 1013 Rosehill and started to rent out Iredell. It was converted to six apartments by 1945. She moved back into an apartment by 1950, and stayed there until her death.
