This one-and-a-half story, side-gabled bungalow is three-bays wide and double pile with a full-width engaged front porch supported by tapered wood posts on brick piers. The house has an asphalt-shingled roof with low, shed-roofed front dormer, both with exposed eaves. It retains original molded wood weatherboards and eight-over-one wood windows, with metal storm windows only in the dormer. The front door is a modern replacement, but retains the original ten-light sidelights and transom. A low concrete retaining wall extends across the front of the property.
The earliest known occupant was R. L. Whitaker (cooper) in 1907; the Whitaker family remained in the house into the 1940s.
