This house belonged to Carlton and Mattie Byrd, owners of Stone Bros and Byrd Feed Store beside the old Durham Bulls Park. I am not sure when they purchsed the home but lived there 1950's till their deaths

ok....wrong Mr Byrd.
The correct Mr Byrd is, H. Raymond Byrd but Mattie was correct.
