The house was demolished sometime between 1938 and 1950. Given the style of the service station, likely closer to 1950.

Demolished in 1961 for the third-time's-the-charm Fire Station #1.

This was my great grandfather's home. He owned City Ice and coal and later Murdock Ice and coal. We used to visit him there when I was very young. There was a big fig tree behind the house. It was transplanted to his son William H. Murdock's home on Gloria Avenue.
