The west side of the 1100 block of Fayetteville St. was another primarily residential block of Fayetteville St. In 1923, the residents of 1104 was Martha Harris

This portion of Fayetteville St. was demolished ~1965. It now lies in the middle of the right-of-way of 'new' Fayetteville St., as it curves to rejoin the old alignment at Umstead.

Looking north from Umstead St. - the old path of Fayetteville St. would pass directly through the blue sign and the red brick two-story apartment building.
