Frederick E. Wilson House. Substantial 2-story brick Tudor Revival-style house with a tall clipped gable roof, an ornate interior Tudor chinmey, a front-gabled wing, and a recessed entrance with a decorative stone surround. Other features are an oriel window near the entrance, large metal casement windows, and gabled wall dmmers. Fredrk E. Wilson, asst prof at Duke University, was owner-occupant in 1940.

The Durham Sun reported on December 24, 1938, that a building permit was issued to contractor C. A. Herrin to build an $11,000 residence for F. E. Wilson at 1020 Demerius street.
