Two-story L-shaped, brick-veneered Period house built late 1930s. Cross-gable roof, neoclassical entrance surround in gable-front wing and porch on slender box posts in front recess of ell. Earliest known occupant was Robert H. Cowan, vice-president of Durham Lumber Co.
