Saunders, Dennis (Rocky)

Dennis Saunders, better known as Rocky lived at 513 Holloway St., Durham during WW2. He attended high school in Durham playing baseball before moving on to semi-pro ball at Wright Automatic Machine 1943-44. He was drafted into the Boston Braves organization and played 3A baseball in Bluefield, WV were he met my mother. They were married, but only for a short time. He went on to play second base for several years with the Boston Braves pro team before retiring.

Moving back to Durham he owned/managed a smoke shop in a major hotel in town in the 1950s. I do not know which hotel. I know very little about my biological father. I am looking for information that can add to my heritage. Any information will be appreciated.
