In 1917, this was the home of WG Utermoehlen, his wife Mary, and their children Della Wayna and Carla Mae. The Utermoehlen's were a famous musical family who ran a music school at 204 and 1/2 North Mangum Street.
WG was a famous composer and professor throughout the south despite growing up in Missouri. In later years, he was chosen by FDR to work as a conductor in a series of public concerts in Miami that were part of the WPA Federal Music Project.
