Lovette’s Appliance Store 2

107 W Chapel Hill St was occupied by Lovette’s Appliance from 1940’s to 1965. This was the second store opened by the company. Store number one was located at 711 West Chapel Hill St.

Lovette’s started out as a GE appliance dealer and later became Lovette Electric Construction Company.

The business was owned by Edd Lovette Sr. and Mr. Hubert Teer. The Company closed upon the death of Mr. Teer in 1965.

This building was later occupied by the Book Exchange and currently Mothers & Sons restaurant.
