612-614 Fayetteville St. appears to have been built in the late 1920s; 612 housed Loftin's Bakery during the 1930s. By 1941, 612 had become Rose's Beauty Salon and 614 the Home Modernization and Supply Company. The Home Modernization and Supply Company remaned in business at this location for the next 25 years. 612 became the Service Tailor Shop and Eagle Sport Shop before it was occupied by the Bull City Barber College in 1957.
