This house was demolished in December 2014 for the Alston Avenue widening. NCDOT essentially offered 3 weeks for someone to come up with a plan to move the house / bid on the house. It was very difficult to read their actions as little more than the pro forma "we offered it to the public," as the timing - which could not have been necessary given the length of time this project has been on the books - made saving the house nearly-impossible.
