Preservation Durham's Maplewood Cemetery Tour (May 18 and 19, 2019)

Back by popular demand!  This tour of Old Maplewood cemetery is divided into two parts – one on the east side of Kent Street and the other on the west. The tours operate in a continuous loop, join either part where you find it and follow it around. They are organized in three continuous repeating loops.

When: Saturday and Sunday, May 18th and 19th, 2019, 1-4pm both days
Where: Maplewood Cemetery, Kent Street entrance (Google Maps)
Please park and enter near the Kent Street gate entrance located near 1st Calvary Baptist Church (Kent Street and Morehead Ave area).
Tickets: online at (or on-site either day!)
Arrival: Anytime, just join a tour loop in progress by 3pm. Come early and join more than one loop for the price of one!
Topic: Tour goers will learn about Durham history, Durham people of all walks of life, tombstones and grave architecture.
Attire: Wear sensible walking shoes and, if it is sunny, wear sunscreen.
Facilities: We will provide water, but there are no bathroom facilities.
