House. 1-story front-gabled bungalow with 4-over-1 sash windows and a full gabled Craftsman post with a brick balustrade and a peaked lintel. Vinyl siding covers the walls and eave brackets. 1930 CD, 1937 SM.
Eugene and Bertha Evans built this house in 1930. Eugene was a carrier for the post office. Chances are, he worked at the then brand spanking new post office at 306-310 South Driver Street.

You should see this house now! This house was purchased by Habitat for Humanity of Durham and the renovation was completed this summer and the family has moved in. Wish I had a picture to send!

THIS is such a great thing for Habitat to be doing! Think of the 100's of homes around Durham that could be saved.
